Mac, those are beautiful guitars (Nice amps, too). I'd have a hard time taking care of such nice guitars, since I'd be living outdoors and all...

Hi Mac Daddy

please don't get me wrong, but I have a question regarding the Custom Telecaster:

Should the first batch of the Custom Telecasters (yes, correct without the "Custom Telecaster" logo on the headstock, like yours) not have a white single layer pickguard with only 5 mounting screws?

I don't want to be picky or so, I'm just interested on that.

Great instruments btw, I am REALLY jealous...

Cheers!

The Early ones had a 5 screw Pickguard and then went to 8 the Tele customs didn't start out with the Custom decal , my guard is multi layered .. orig
the three way tip is a vintage strat tip (I have the Orig) and the saddles are brass ( I have the orig steel) also the knobs are earlier 50's

Love those guitars, but there are hundreds of threads on here every week. Much as I like re-visiting your nice pictures, you're just gonna have to let your thread die the death and slip into the archives sometime!

Thanks again though - the Tele Customs are just gorgeous!
