I've got two of those, i love them! They are too hard on the strings for me, and I'm also a "pick dropper" so I don't play out with them. Maybe I will tomorrow night!

I used to have some Mexican coins that were perfect for making coin picks like the mojos, but lost all but one. The last one may also be lost too. I gotta go check.

I was about to check out some Dunlop Ultex Jazz III picks, I want to try something lighter actually. I usually use Fender heavies, trangular ones.

I use this 1998 brass Nobivac Rabies dog tag. Heaviest pick I know... they need to be filed in a bit, but then they play great. I got some 20-30 from a vet

I've developed this inclination to use heavier picks on heavier guage strings.

10-46s? Dunlop Gator Blues. 11-49s? Dunlop Gator Greens.

Ernie Ball - HEAVY for me. A bit more flexible than Fender Heavy and a lot more colorful!

I saw those and started making my own with a dremmel. Drill a hole in it and it stays on a key chain.

I just dropped the 1.5 jazz pick and went to a 2.0 that I shape like a jazz 358.

I really like the Dunlop Standard Nylon picks. Easy to grip, wide range of thicknesses and they don't seem to wear out.

+1 on the round side. It really changes things, as I discovered a long time ago. I very rarely use the pointed side unless I'm going for something softer and more articulated. I generally use med. picks, but sometimes a med-heavy. Pick guages DO change tone.

I'm a "Big Stubby" fan. I've tried them in 1, 2 & 3mm thicknesses but tend to stick with the 3mm as they're easier to hang onto :~)

Recently I've become a fan of the Stubby 3.0 too. I like the thickness, but I have trouble with it pivoting in my grip.

I just read about the V-Picks and they sound like they might be a solution since they are wider. It looks like the pointed ones have a similar picking end to the Dunlop Stubby.

Yup 3mm is all I use...
Complete control over attack, precision, & tone... plus they last forever providing you don't lose them. Haven't bought a pick in over 2 years.

I'm way too picky for my own good. I start with a good old Fender heavy, thin it out from the tip to about 1/4 inch back to almost the thinness of a medium, then point the tip. Tone difference between pointed and original round tip is amazing IMO.
Someone make a $135 meteorite pick. They weather the washer/dryer very well, I hear.

about a year ago I found -3- Gibson USA Heavy picks in my pick bag, they are brown tortoise shell in color,I dont know where or when I got them, but they have become my favorite picks, they sound great. Before I came across these I always played Fender mediums.I play 10's for my string size.I am now a firm believer that pick choice makes a lot of difference.
