Waylon Jennings and Big Bird

I guess I was too young when I saw this movie to realize that Waylon Jennings sung a song with Big Bird in a Sesamie Street Movie.

My kids watch that movie daily! Freaked me out to see him in a sesame street movie. I actually can't get that out of my mind when I hear him on the radio.

I always thought that the folks that made the Muppets missed a chance when they didn't make a Muppet version of James Burton to play guitar in the band. Can you imagine how funny it would be if a guest star turned around in the middle of a tune and said, 'Play it Muppet James!'.

I was a kid in the early 80s and was raised on Sesame Street, but I think I was a few years early for this movie, as I don't recall seeing it, but I seem to remember when it came out....

In any case, I forgot how annoying Big Bird's voice was

Read Waylon's biography. In it he talks about setting Big Bird on Fire. There's a scene with Waylon and Big Bird ridding in a truck and Waylon smoked a lot back then. In between takes he would smoke. One time he held the ciggerette down by his side and accidently set fire to Big Bird.

When I read that story I thought anyone can trash a Hotel Room, but it takes a Real Rock Star to Set Big Bird on Fire!
