i have an '02 MIM standard Tele...can you get an "ashtray" cover for these? are they expensive? is there some kind of modification you have to do to get one to fit?
i really like the look of the Telecaster when it's sporting the extra chrome.

An ashtray cover won't fit the modern bridge on an MIM Standard. However you can swap the bridge for a vintage style bridge (it's a straight drop in) and then the ashtray cover will fit...

I put a 3 saddle bridge on my '01 MIM std Tele, dropped right in with out any fuss at all.

eBay Fender bridge was about $25, ashtray about $10 or 15.
