Born yesterday.
Stained with "Eggshell white" and then just nitro clearcoat.

Itīs not that white as in the sunny pictures.
More like this actually:

(Maybe I should put her in a smokey bar somewhere )

Hope I didnīt make any major "crime" putting a blackguard on it?

I just posted this in a separate thread after I recently completed my first partscaster, but may as well join the official thread too!

I notice that there are new partscasters built since last post so I'll give this thread a bump.

Here's a couples of mine:

The Mary Kaye is a Warmoth body & neck. The grain does show through, although you can't see it in the photo (6.5 lbs). The Mahogany one weighs 6 lbs 10 oz & was recently completed. Bound it w/ Tortoise binding & did the finishing. Musikraft Mahogany neck -Dimarzio Area T pups installed...which I'm still on the fence with? I kinda got used to that Mini-Bucker! They both are Broadcaster thickness...

Hi guys!
I need a wee help here. I'm putting together a great Tele... I have a cream mex body, with tortoise pickgard. I've put a nice vintage compensated 3 brass sadles bridge. And OC Duff he's cooking a set of Nancy's for me... Yeah, I love Buchanan's tone!!! But I have only a rosewood blank peg head that I bought from ebay a while ago... The problem it's that it would be a shame to put this neck on my tele... I've tryed to find a great maple neck ready fit holes and head stock done... Does someone can help me to get most out off my bucks?! I don't have more than $150 to put on and I don't think that paying over $350US for a replacement neck is nessesairy...

So, many thanks for you guys and hope that someone can help!

B.

yeah you're right... But I was looking for a maple neck... But, if I don't find any, I'll consider that one for sure...

Many thanks for the tip!

Here's my main babe... She sleep in a pegasus case... The best for the best!
if you want a great guitar hand made flight case, ask Sam... He's the best!
Says Bruno send you!

That yellow case was made for me by Sam while I was over in Scotland, it fit the guitar and hold it like no other cases... He put me a prototype handle and some new feature he had developed... Amaising craftmanship... I hope that his waiting list is not too long... But I think, usualy after july it's already too late for chrismas...

I've modded a couple of Squier '51s, even glittered one, but my first partscaster is just underway...

I'm trying to build my own signature Zenquest Cybercaster for the price of an MIM Standard burst. So far, so good. Snagging a set of '07 MIM pups on Ebay for $25 bucks helped. I'm surprised how hot they read: over 10 ohms on the bridge and over 8 on the neck. I thought my meter was wrong, but my old Squier neck pup is reading 4.36 so I guess the new pups really are that hot. Yikes.
