PBS Respect Yourself feedback

Enjoyed it immensely. A couple of queries:

MarKeys live clip ("Last Night"): Must have been a little "after the fact" because it looked like Al Jackson, Jr. on drums... perhaps the MarKeys as a feature on a Booker T. show, and Cropper had a rosewood Tele;

Redding (doing a cover? I can't remember, and had no means to record) with a mostly black band in yellow jump suits, Precision and Tele -- was that the first Bar Kays, the road band that perished with him on the airplane?

Comments?

I had to wrest the television away from my 15-year-old and her reality TV-dance audition drivel to watch...just as good as I thought it would be! Just read the book, so this was a good follow-up. The Issac Hayes and later generation stuff kinda lost me, as it did in the book, but they seemed to be able to condense all the money and personnel problems in a much less tedious manner. I wish I had written down where to get the DVD...

The Otis Redding footage was amazing. I'm a big fan, but had never seen that footage of him doing "Respect." Not sure if those were the BarKays, but the song itself was written by Redding and covered by Aretha Franklin(though I like how Redding borrows the bridge from from Aretha's version). A great documentary. . . if you have a chance, read "Sweet Soul Music" by Peter Guarlnick, which details a lot of the same stuff, though more expansively.

Livin' in Europe, I obviously couldn't watch it. I would love to get a copy (vhs, dvd, whatever) of this show.
Bill mentioned that there must a DVD available. Does anybody know where I can buy it?

EDIT.
Nevermind, I just found it. You can pre-order the DVD here:

It should be out in October.

I made the youngsters watch it. We all really enjoyed it. The kids loved Green Onions and Otis but were dumbfounded to see Jesse Jackson with that big old afro.

Play it Steve!
