Control treble - Use amp or guitar control?

What do you prefer for controling treble?

I'm still trying to hear what I like better when I want to reduce treble, the amp or guitar control. I seem to hear a more clear sound when I manage the amp. When I roll back the guitar the tone seems muffled quicker.

I set the amp so I won't get more treble than I want... Then I use the guitar tone control to get the tone I want for each pickup or song.

I get pickups which don't have such a striking tone difference compared to many tele sets (alnico2 bridge and alnico5 neck...dimarzio virtual vintage and fender vintage noiseless, to be precise) and set the amp so that all 3 switch settings are acceptable with the guitar controls full up.
Then I just play.
I hate having to fiddle around going from one pickup to the other.

+1 with TG; I always set my amp to where I get the tone I want so I have minimal time "tweaking" my guitar. Any minor adjustments are made on the guitar; if it is anything other than minor, I'm back to the amp to do whatever I need to do. BTW, I use a Kustom '36 Coupe 1x12 combo with a E.B. Volume Pedal and a BOSS CH-1 Chorus Pedal. I love the tone of the amp so much, I've almost quit using the Chorus Pedal! Nothing like a Tele thru a nice sounding tube amp! Twang On!

I do it mostly on the amp, unless I want to roll back for that sweet spot.
