I'll say it again, it sounds as though Monterose has already implicated himself more than enough to have the pants sued off of him. Let's hope his bare arse is stuck out in the rain.

Congrats again, Danny and Mandy Marie.

I honestly can't believe the nerve of this clown.

I can't wait to hear about this Jay character being sentenced to some prison time for his criminal ways...

Mr. Hahn is probably one of the coolest people ever, just for this. Congratulations on getting in touch with such an awesome, generous person!

Well, at the very least there should be enough bad press by now that only a total idiot would do business with him.

Awesome story. Unbelievable ending. Epic. Congratulations on the new axe. Wish I was going to be around the end of the month to meet you here. Your patience in overwhelming.

Now....for my two cents worth.

It sounds like you are going to pursue Jay for some sort of closure/compensation. Excellent. That is EXACTLY the right thing.
People who do that sort of business keep going because a majority of people are "nice guys" and nice guys don't ever make trouble. They "chalk it up" and move on. Well, IMHO when someone clearly is in the wrong, they MUST be called on it. That is the way change happens. I doubt him being successfully challenged by you will cause him any enlightenment as a human, because as a good friend of mine says - 'don't expect a snake to be anything other than a snake'. But by successfully challenging him you are acting as a cog in the karma wheel and you will have an effect. Eventually, that business will either change for the better, or go away. Either way we all win.
Good luck, and like Joel would say, don't just play that guitar, PLAY THE HELL OUT OF IT!

Congrats again man.

Good for you. Very happy that it turned out for the best. And whatever you decide toi do about Vintique is your biz.

And I'm sure Vince Gill is excited about his new axe. With it's Warmoth body. Or was it Allparts?

Way to go, Chihoe!!!

Man, what a BEAUTIFUL guitar! And what a wonderful thing to do. :-) (And congrats Danny, I know you're going to love playing it. )

As for that "other guy" who

Meanwhile, enjoy your new axe Danny! So where's the hot pickin' already? We want SOUND CLIPS! CS

great ending..

i agree that you should take him to some kind of "not so" small claims court...

and don't be mad, but I'm still laughing that this surprise guitar has no knobs?

kinda fitting for this whole ordeal.

This worries me Danny, if you no longer have the original paperwork, depending upon your jurisdiction, you may not have a legal leg to stand on if you pursue (rightly i.m.h.o.) a case against him......

Like everyone else here....

...I hated to hear all that you went through but it looks like you've got a great guitar after all! Congrats! I'm a believer in what comes around goes around!

Just one question:

How much and how long for the knobs?

Bill... The guy GAVE me a guitar I'll have the knobs in 2 weeks and they won't cost a cent. But even if I were to never get knobs for that Tele, it certainly wouldn't matter to me.

Genny, he told me that he was out of knobs and I told him that didn't matter, but he said he'd send me some because in Chihoe's words " they're essential!" Ha Ha!!

By the way, I can't really "use" them the way I use actual Tele knobs - but we slapped a pair of chicken head knobs on there today...and it looks pretty cool!

Jay at Vintique uses a new body made by Allfarts. Its made of all the compressed hot air he blasts. LOL

It's a comic tragedy in three acts played out here. Made for great reading and it's so wonderful that Danny got an awesome guitar in the end.
Good things do happen to good people. I bet you'll see that case and some cash sometime down the road. Thumbs up to Mr. Hahn, and brilliant. Who wouldn't buy a guitar from a guy who shows that kind class.

+1million! This is the problem I have with the Ebay feedback system. I don't trust anyone who has over 100 feedbacks without a negative. It's human nature that out of 100+ transactions you're going to meet up with a jerk and earn yourself a negative or two. Unless instead of calling a spade a spade you "roll over" and give the deserving party a positive in fear of the proverbial retaliatory neg! The only problem is the offending party moves on, positive feedback in place, ready to throw it to the next unsuspecting victim. JMHO

Congrats Danny, it took a while for the karma to catch up, but it did indeed. And kudos to Chihoe.

I wonder if Mr. Gill would still be interested in dealing with Jay if he knew how the guy screws the common man. Maybe a few emails to vincegill.com would be in order.

Wow...what a great guy...making up for someone elses f***-up! All my respect go to Mr. Hahn and (although nearly impossible) I even lost more respect for Vintique...

The Vince Gill bit sounds like BS, a sick parting shot to make Danny feel bad. Like when you break off with a girl and she calls to let you know her new boyfriend is better in the sack than you were and owns three houses and a yacht.
Bet Mr. Gill dosen't throw his money away if it is going to a slimeball.

Just wonderful news Danny!

I'm so pleased to hear this outcome. I hope that we can hear some of that new Tele on a track somewhere soon!

Vince Gill is a real nice guy, I kinda doubt he would deal w/ Jay at all.

Congrats to Danny! If ya live a good life, good things happen!

You think after five years of waiting it would be right the first time. Ill nver buy a guitar online like that.
