I prefer mint. Parchment is pretty cool though. Also, if you can find the right tortise shell ( some don't look quite right to my eyes ) guard, the look is classic and classy. Still, good old mint green does it for me.

mine is black

my sunburst came with a black pickguard, and as soon as i can find a white one that fits a neck mod, i'm gonna switch it out. i like it better with the white. the black makes it look like 70s furniture or something i think.

Any white or off white (mint green, parchment etc) works for me!

Kinda depends on the sunburst, but I think the "old dead turtle" looks great with a 3-tone burst. Always reminds me of the early 60s Jazz basses. This is a semi-hollow G&L, but you get the idea:

It's all personal taste, though. Whatever guard YOU think looks best is the way to go, IMO. Hope it helps, CS :-)

I like off white pearloid myself. But certainly any of the mint/parchment varieties are tasty to. And then the turtle shell. Heck, anything but bright shiney white.

OFF white. Number 3, without a doubt.

I like SB with black, and I like it with tortis. Anything else hurts my eyes!

Single-layer black would be my first choice.

tortoise or mint green, it really depends on the sunburst and vibe of the tele.
no two sunbursts are the same

Sunburst needs a maple fingerboard & a white pickguard - or any of the off-white derivations.
