I'd like to change the pickguard of my black tele from white, and I don't really like pearl either. What looks good with a maple neck? Any pics?

off white / light cream... like the gatton model has... looks great on black... i had one on a refinned black nocaster and on a sunburst 62 RI and it perfectly matched the binding... tj

I'm with Olewichita in that I put an off white / parchment scratchplate on my 50s RI - I didn't want a radical change just to take the new plastic look off the guitar. Sadly, my poor photography skills have guarenteed that the flash has spoilt the subtle effect of this! And as a tribute to MaxCaster's cat post, here's my guitar modelled with some disinterest by Gram Parsons (the cat, not the country singer - he gets that a lot!)

my '50's Classic is black, and as the neck P-up is body mounted, swapping guards is quick and fun, so i have acquired 5 or 6 in various colors/designs.....
