What is your ideal weight?
I tend to like them a little more beefy than most tele guys. I like Alder and hard ash that rolls around 5.5 on the body.

My Baja is 8.2lbs, and I wouldn't want to go any heavier. My 69 RI Thinline is way less, though I don't know the exact weight. My guess would be maybe 6lbs.
As for me, I am a boat anchor

My best one is 7.6, for the complete Tele, both for the sound and the feeling.
No more than 8 if possible. The neck weight also affects the way the guitar feels and sounds IMHO. Gilles
