what about a bigsby B11 on a tele? (paging natsteel)
i really like the looks of the b11...
i think i'd love it on a tele... but i'm told it can't be done. looking at the modified B16 on natsteel's page, i'm starting to wonder again if it really is impossible to get a good result with a B11 (in fact a simpler B3) on a tele. the modified B16 doesn't look to different from a B11 and is used in combination with a vintage 3 saddle bridge and without a tensionbar.

There's a reason you only see B-5s and B-16s on Telecasters .............. size. Perhaps this picture will explain why a B-11 won't fit. I don't have a B-11 but here's a B-3 on a Telecaster.
...... ![]() The B-11 appears to be even longer than the B-3. ...... ![]() By the way, here's the modified B-16 referred to above. I've always liked the looks of that installation. However it appears the holes in the back of the bridgeplate are acting as a tension bar. I wonder about string wear. ......
