New FSR '62 Tele Custom Thin-skin

Just picked this one up last weekend, and man, what a great axe! 9.5r and 6105 frets. Can't put it down!

Dave's guitar had 3 of them at the Dallas show, a green w/o binding ($1499), a 2 tone with mint pg, and this one with the white p/g (both $1599). The mint guard looked a little off to me right next to the bright white binding, so I went with the white 3-ply.

He let me have it for 15, after I pestered him for most of the weekend ;)

I've seen these on the Wildwood site and waiting for them to be posted up on Dave's.

I noticed that Fender has labeled these AV'62RI headstock as "Telecaster" vs previous years when the AV'62RI have been labeled "Custom Telecaster".

Long shot, but could this be one reason (of many) Fender USA cracked down on Japanese retailers exporting Fender Japan guitars? (The CIJ '62RI's are labeled "Telecaster")

Sorry I got off on this tangent......Enjoy, that is one great looking Telecaster.

Hey don't I know you from somewhere ;)

Wildwood has several of the mint p/g versions, (and blondes and greens) but last I looked, only one of the white 3-ply.
