There are several guitar shops on Broadway in Denver. Folks local to the area may be able to give you more specifics on this. If you can get out of town for a while, there's Wildwood Guitars in Louisville that's maybe 20-30 minutes north of Denver. Wildwood is a fantastic store along the lines of Dave's Guitar Shop in LaCrosse, WI. You can check out their website at wildwoodguitars.com. They have an amazing selection of regular and Custom Shop Fenders, some used as well. Cheers.

I live in Louisville, which is about 30 minutes from Denver, and have spent a ton of time in Wildwood. You can see what they have on their website--it's pretty accurate. They are not heavy on used stuff, but what they have is great. The store is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and want to play some really good guitars. It's a high-end shop with hundreds of great guitars, and their service is unmatched.
The stuff you see on ebay for Gravity Music Gear is not in their store for sale. Their store itself is pretty weak in decent inventory IMO, although I visit it occasionally to see what kind of interesting junk I might find for amps or effects. They are also friendly there. I don't know the stores in Denver proper, though. I wish I knew if there is a real center for used guitars in the area. |

There are a couple of Music-Go-Rounds in the Denver area. There is a cool store down in Colorado Springs called Music Exchange, they always have cool used gear. And I scored a great tele cheap at ProSound in CS as well one time.

I've lived in Denver for 10 years, prior to this I lived in Austin for 15 years. I would say there is a definite paucity of good used gear in the Denver area.
- We have 4 or 5 Guitar Centers which only carry used equipment at the lower end of the scale. - Guitarville on Broadway has used guitars, but I have never found anything worthwhile there. - GuitarX on Broadway usually has a couple of used guitars, but their main claim to fame is high end boutique guitars and amps. Great place to go though, one of my favorites in Denver. - Wildwood is indeed a fun place to go -- again, not much used, but a good selection of high-end new stuff. That's about it. Amazing for a metro area of close to 3 million to have such a dearth of used and vintage gear. This is why Denver doesn't have a yearly Vintage Guitar show anymore. I miss Austin for the guitar stores and the MUSIC! :D JP |
