My Hot Rod (photo heavy)

I picked-up the guitar a couple of weeks ago, but today I finally got a digital camera so I can share some family photos. Since this is my most recent acquisition, I thought I'd start with it:

As you can tell, I have no clue what I'm doing with the camera, but hopefully you get the idea!

Looks pretty cool. I was kind of wondering how those Duncan Mini-Humbuckers sound.

Nice looking geetar ya got there. Wonder how they compare with the old California Series Fat Tele's.

Nice guitar, I just wish Fender would have gone whole-hog and dropped a full size SD PAF in there.

Really? I kinda like the mini. I've even grown used to the SD logo. It sounds great! I thought it was a little dark at first, but I really like it.

Nice looking guitar. I'd like to see a tele neck pickup in the middle position, for extra options.

As for your photography, a tip that was passed to me recently on the forum, and which has proved to be excellent, is: put the camera on a tripod; turn off the flash; set it to auto mode; set the timer; aim; press the button and stand back. Even in low light, the camera may take great shots like this (the tripod is needed because the shutter stays open for a while, and in your hands the camera would shake).

Hot Rod..

I played one of these at my local dealer and I loved it. Best Tele to come out in a while IMHO. A great blend of the old and the new, light weight, and killer tone! By the way, I have a 62 RI Hot Rod Strat. If I were rich and did not already have a great Tele(check my 68 in the avatar and Feb on the TDPRI calendar) I would have bought the one my dealer had. Happy picking and great choice!

I have a fairly large collection of Teles and this could actually be my favorite to play. Sounds amazing, has a nice, fat neck with a satin finish and is fairly light. I really didn't want to like it (because I didn't need another) but I knew within about a minute of playing it that it was coming home with me.

That's a great looking Tele Jellecaster! I've been wanting to try one of those. Where in NH are you located? I regularly go to a jam in Exeter and another in Hampstead - maybe I'll see you around?
