Telecaster, how high in the charts are we ?
If there was a chart, Similer to the music charts where would the Telecaster be in all time sales? And when i say Telecaster, I mean all types, even the copys. And If we aint number one (be susprised if we were't) then where would we be in the chart of all time world sales, and what would be number one?

...Knott even close tew numb-burr won!!
...The lass time I talked tew a Fenner rep the Strats out sold the TELECASTERs ABOUT 10 TEW WON. ...I wood assume this wood reflect onna werld wide market knott tew mint-chun the gypsins ( I try knott tew mint-chun them) and udder models. ...If I hadda guess I'd guess the Tele style wood fall in at about numb-burr 5 and the Strat er gypsin (there I go again) wood take up the top tew slots. Only using the number of hits on my e-bay auctions....I would say, my Strat...and Strat related Auctions, get almost 3 times the amount of Traffic, compared to the Tele stuff...but as far as TV exposure...I think the Tele might win at this time in History...????

On the Magician's Friend (thanks 0.F.) website you can list by most popular guitar. The first few pages are dominated by Gibsons (LP's, SG's etc) and Strats. There's one Tele towards the bottom of page two... You have to get to page four or five before you start seeing any more.

My Fender dealer friends tell me Strats are the most popular Fenders by a long shot. They sell as an average 10-12 Strats for every 1 Tele.

I love that Google fight sight, it has already settled a few arguments between the Mrs and me, thats why i am sat here typing this post, why she is washing up the breakfast things lol. Seriously just organised a fight between Fender and Gibson and Fender won 24,000,000 to Gibsons 4,320,000

Of course, your search obviously shows that the Internet likes the word "fender," and not the name "Fender." Try comparing Fender to Martin and see who dominates. Shoot, according to your methods, Dean must be the most popular guitar on the planet. Try this instead: "fender guitar" v. "gibson guitar" Within 2%, too close to call. --gh |
