Kind of a funny auction

The whole story about why he is selling the guitar after two weeks is funny in itself, but then he goes on to give a partial serial number , presumably as a means of fending off fraud and then goes on to post a pic of the entire serial number

that's what i don't get about that model...a friend of mine has one (same color too) listed even on the hang tags as a "'67 players model"...but! double binding like was big in the early 60's, threaded saddles like early 60's, and early '60's tuners.... i'm thinking maybe a problem at fender with the info?

Let me get this straight he wants to unload this guitar because "It was my first guitar in years without a small width neck" but then goes on to say that a "custom shop relic with boat neck" was perfect for him. Yeah that make perfect sense.
