Loose Neck
i can bend my neck pretty easy, sometimes by accident...just pulling the guitar against me slightly or pushing it away and the note bends
what could be causing this?, truss rod?, i dunno its not a massive problem, just restricts my rock moves hehe |

You've got a new Tele ? with the 'modern C shape' maple/maple neck ? ?
If so, it sounds "normal" ... I've had two Fender 'modern C-shape maple/maple' necked guitars with the same "feature" ... On a strat with a floating trem it's not that noticeable, but on a Tele it can be a bit annoying ... especially on a B-bender which is built to be pushed/pulled around :-) ... I sold/traded the Strat, and got used to the Tele and now everything's fine :-) ... /J

Surprised a Classic 50's is doin' it
I had this problem only once, really. A Yamaha Pacifica Strat-thing with a very slim contour, wide & flat radiused neck. Great axe, really, but required a gentle touch. I could never bond w. the flat radius, gave it to my son finally, he was thrilled. I've got an early AV '62 RI Strat w. very slender neck profile, but it's not so bad and doesn't respond to minor motions.
I also happen to have a '50s Classic Tele and am, frankly, surprised that a slight pull on yours does that. Mine seems like a rock, it's a pretty stout neck. I hate to proffer something so mundane...but are you sure the neck is bolted on snugly? And the bridge plate? Or maybe a slight pull to you is a huge yank to me. |

Wood moves, breathes, bends, warps, shrinks...moisture content varies at different times of the year. I would that just about any guitar will bend...it's a GOOD thing. I had an old Ibanez RG-550 that was ridiculous...at times I really thought I'd snap the neck off at the heel. But all she did was wahhh!
