Newbie comes bearing pics!
Hi guys, im new here but look forward to spending some time on this board. I know introduction threads can be frowned upon in guitar forums, so heres some pics to make it slightly more palatable!
Seen in these pics are my Fender Special Run USA Ash Telecaster 2006 ESP Hybrid custom shop MIM Telecaster 1996 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Ash tele is my most recent, its a beauty, i played it live last night and it was excellent! The Hybrid has a lovely red sparkle finish and with the JB SD in the bridge can really scream. The Mex tele is bloody fantastic! (it plays better than most guitars double its price imo) Hope ya like em! |

Welcome ...
... to the TDPRI, bouncepogo! This is by far the best place on the internet and a must for any fan of the Telecaster. You'll like it here.
Nice and friendly people who know everything Telecaster and then some, who don't mind sharing it with you. Your three musketeers look very nice indeed! It's the first time that I see an ESP Hybrid. Lovely red sparkle finish. With those three you will feel right at home here. Enjoy! |

I was looking around the ESP website recently, and that ESP Hybrid was pretty much the only model that interested me. Coarse, by now I've seen the ESP "Edwards" line of guitars, that we can only get in the USA by importing them, and I'm very impressed by those. But the Edwards ESPs are lawsuit bait, so we'll never see those in our stores.

Now that's how you make an entrance!
Welcome! Those MIM Teles I'd say are just about the most universally agreed upon hidden deals you can get. You'll meet a lot of folks 'round here with 'em. Myself included. Mine was a MIM Tele Special - was stock with a humbucker in the neck and a 5-way switch. Came to me used with no neck pickup, and I kept it that way.

Thanks for the warm welcome, im glad you like the pics!
Dan The Man - Im in Southampton! Pete Galati - The ESP hybrids are now only available as LTD versions, i got lucky and picked up this custom from a session guitarist who was selling it off, great condition too! Its a shame ESP has been hit with so many lawsuits, they are excellent guitars. heres some more pics for the sake of it: ![]() ![]()

Cool, and welcome!
I've always thought the ESP (and it's cheaper Ltd. sister) Hybrid were overlooked guitars with a neat vibe. The ESP's iirc, had a variety of neck-joins on some slightly differing models (I believe the newer Ltd's are setnecks). Is yours the 2-bolt neck? BK

Well, yes and no.
From the back it looks like a 2 bolt neck, but if you remove the pickguard, you see that the neck continues right through its neck pocket, has a hole for the neck pup, then has another 2 bolts on the inside. I have a picture of the arrangement but i don't have it on my works computer. So basically a 4 bolt joint which allows for the best upper fret access i've ever had! |
