Speaking of Odd Pickguards...

I have ALWAYS jonesed for a pickguard made of this stuff.

It would also make great binding.

But like Paisley stickum paper...the stuff seems to be make of unobtanium.

Try to find a sheet of it.

Go ahead.

I dare you.

Yep, even better try finding a Clown Barf pickguard. (You won't!)

Dana Bourgouis (I bet I spelled that wrong) trimmed out a few accoustics with clown barf/confetti binding and pickguards a few years ago. It is simply outrageous looking stuff. I've searched high and low for a source. Somebody HAS TO MAKE it...but I haven't been able to find them.

It is just one of the mysteries of life.

Maybe someone should try to take a bunch of multicolored pearloid picks and try to melt them together in the oven! That's what that looks like!

That stuff reminds me of the Fender bowling ball finishes, almost as unobtainable. Odd since so few will cop to wanting one...

I thought the same thing! Or melt them onto the back of a clear pickguard. The guard might be a bit thick, but you'd get it for sure.
