I've always wanted a tele...but the ones I want are usually out of my league pricewise....this is my first real guitar project, and I'm going to finish it for under $500 total...I can't wait |

That looks good to me.
A word of warning: I bought an Allparts mint green guard that looked more like "pea soup" green. Not a good look. Ended up ditching it and buying the more expensive Fender brand. |

+1 on the fender guard...bought a stew mac and it was way too minty...
a real mint on a daphne is gorgeous in my opinion. go for it.

agreed.
If it's the right shade of mint, it's gorgeous. If it's too green, it's a horror show. (I had to return a Callaham that was likewise, too green) I'd go with a genuine Fender 62 RI guard to be sure you're getting the right color. best Allen |

It would be perfect. I think you'd love it. I got an esquire PG in mint Green from GFS. I put it on that daphne blue body for kicks and it looked righteous

probably won't help you, but I think I used to have one!
If you look at my pics in my gallery, my 1963 Tele ~used~ to be that color, but I refinished it. Only other difference is I have a rosewood neck. Funny thing, I though the light blue was too sissy-ish for a rock-n-roller back when I bought it in 1972, so I did a bad refin job on it. But nowadays I think it looks kinda cool (not to mention I probably knocked $5K+ off the value with the refin...) Cheers, Doug |

I have had absolutely NO problem with them. As a matter of fact, the PG currently on that body is from them

I like "mint green" pick guards, I was so tempted to get one for my LPB MIM Tele. But I still like my "MOTO" that I put on it YEARS ago...still hides the pick marks very well!

It looks to me like that's SONIC BLUE on your strat...Daphne Blue is brighter and a bit darker, as you can see on my '63 relic... |
