See My New Baby! What do you think?

This is my new Tele put together from parts, What do you guys think? I like the black sp on the blue, haven't seen it done too often. Im in love.......

Spec's
Warmoth Conversion (Gibson Scale) Tele Neck, Jumbo frets.
Fender Highway One body in satin Daphne blue (lightweight)
Modified Vintage Fender 3 comp. saddle bridge.
Gotoh 510 tuners
Lindy Fralin Blues Specials
Setup with 11's

There was an issue with the neck finish, There was a sticky patch that was getting bigger every time i cleaned it off leaving bare wood, i striped it off of the back of the neck and im gonna leave it that way cause it feels awesome! If it ever does warp ill invest in a new neck, no problem.

Very nice. Were there any special requirements regarding the Gibson neck scale? Did the bridge stay in the same place as a normal tele with a Fender scale? Do you notice a different sound due to the shorter scale?

Thanks Guys, It plays amazingly! i just finished tweaking it for my tastes, and it plays hard with little or no buzz.

Big Steve,
Nothing special for the gibson scale, std hardware in std positions. Ive set it up with 11's but with the shorter scale it slacken's the tension a smidge. but it still leaves me enough for Eb when im in a SRV mood. I'm sure this affects the tone but to what extent im not sure as the only comparison to hand is my dads American std with stock pup's.

I love the color..what's up with the graphite nut/string tree? Is there a tremolo bar hidden in there?

Looks great!

Classy color combination... Blue, black, rosewood... Nice. I bet it really growls with those Fralin Blues Specials too... Sounds like fun to me!

Cheers!

With regard to the neck -- are you going to use an tung oil on it or anything? Might help protect the wood without sacrifricing that cool feel.

Just a thought.

Tuning keys, especially, are very nice. Wonderful build. Wish my own project was going as well. (Don't ask.)

Love the color - but it doesn't look like daphne. Is it the pics or am I thinking of the wrong color? Maybe it's my monitor...

Love it though - looks great

I like how you mated a black guard with the Daphne blue body. Goes very good with the rosewood board too. Gotta love those Gotoh 510s - they're the best looking modern tuners IMO.
Will you finish the neck with Tung Oil?
All in all, a real nice looking Tele!

I like. What do you think of the Fralin Blues, particularly the Bridge? It's one of a cast of thousands I'm auditioning for my MIM Burton Mod. The website says they're slightly "darker"- what do you think.

Mojocaster, I see you've got some Fralin Blues Specials in that Turquoise beauty as well. I'd be interested to hear what you think.
