Another '69 for the gang

Hey all, with all this talk about '69 teles, I finally got around to posting some pics of mine in my gallery

there's a half-dozen more in my member gallery. Refin, refret, wrong pickguard -- y'all see anything else to worry about with this one? Just curious. This thing plays really nicely & sounds great, though the neck pickup is pretty microphonic. Anyway, here's my contribution to 69 tele week.

WOW...........! Be proud Sir! That is so nice. One day I am going to own a Telecaster of that caliber, or at least I keep telling that to myself.

I just got a 69 tele tonight. I really like it. Light weight, nice medium neck. Made my first recording with it just now and thought I'd post it. It's the middle position and it's through a Roland practice amp. I'll post some detailed pics later as I do have some questions on it before I'm sure I'm keeping it. -Ralph

Both are excellent! In good shape too, judging from the pics. Took me back--I had a 69 just like poorplayer's. I literally wore that guitar out. I love the white with the white guard too.

KC--if your neck pickup's microphonics are excessive, you could pot it with the cover still on. Dip it in paraffin heated to 160 degrees--no more--let it set a couple of minutes. When you remove it from the wax, keep the pickup upside down. The wax will cool and fill the area between the pickup cover and the pickup. Its often the COVER that causes the feedback, and the wax will keep it from vibrating.

Fine guitars, finally a clear 69 neck stamp.
