When the book was first released, this forum went absolutely nuts! It is the most incredible guitar book I personally have ever seen. Beauty of the Burst is great, but like Norm's Rare Guitars, it just shows the front and back of a whole bunch of guitars, in exactly the same position, really just to point out how they look in front and back. Nacho's Blackguard Book digs down into every imaginable detail on the guitars, the materials and how they changed, the paint, plastic, wood, metal, pickups, neck and body measurements, wires, decals, dates and initials, cases, etc etc. It also tracks the evolution from the first non-truss rod esquires, to the broadcasters, no-casters and telecasters. There's more broadcasters in that book then you will see in your entire life! If there's one main take-away I got from his book it's this: the variation in blackguards was tremendous, these things were basically hand made. Warning: as you look at the book, you will want a blackguard very badly!

Everyone who loves the Tele should have one - totally awesome! I ordered the matching serial number to my Blackguard and the book arrived with my serial number foil stamped on the bridgeplate on the cover photo - I almost fell off my horse! And Nacho is a great guy, too.

One more glowing endorsement here. I bought one copy for myself and another for my dad. If you're obsessed, this is the book for you.
