It makes "Beauty of the Burst" look like a bird cage liner.

Best Tele book ever...Great closeups of guitars, pickups, tuners, frets, serial #'s, screws, and pickguards. Very informative!

The early ones were made out of swamp ash paper, and they were lighter. Some around 6 pounds!

Just kidding.

You won't be let down even if you set your expectations high. Amazing work of art.

When the book was first released, this forum went absolutely nuts! It is the most incredible guitar book I personally have ever seen. Beauty of the Burst is great, but like Norm's Rare Guitars, it just shows the front and back of a whole bunch of guitars, in exactly the same position, really just to point out how they look in front and back. Nacho's Blackguard Book digs down into every imaginable detail on the guitars, the materials and how they changed, the paint, plastic, wood, metal, pickups, neck and body measurements, wires, decals, dates and initials, cases, etc etc. It also tracks the evolution from the first non-truss rod esquires, to the broadcasters, no-casters and telecasters. There's more broadcasters in that book then you will see in your entire life! If there's one main take-away I got from his book it's this: the variation in blackguards was tremendous, these things were basically hand made. Warning: as you look at the book, you will want a blackguard very badly!

To add just a little to what Poorplayer said....having been lucky enough to play a few in my youth (Blackguards)...most of which were light....I was surprised to see how many 8lb. and over there are around ????...Great Book

Everyone who loves the Tele should have one - totally awesome! I ordered the matching serial number to my Blackguard and the book arrived with my serial number foil stamped on the bridgeplate on the cover photo - I almost fell off my horse! And Nacho is a great guy, too.

I seriously doubt there will ever be a better Telecaster book, unless Nacho writes another. It is easily worth twice the price, to me. I consider it a must have for the Telecaster fan.

One more glowing endorsement here. I bought one copy for myself and another for my dad. If you're obsessed, this is the book for you.
