No way - Paul & Chris must have the patience of a saint not to have pulled this thread a long time ago. It must have been pretty near at times.... Frankly, I'm amazed that it keeps dragging on and on, 'cos most of the responses which were relevant to the thread originator's question came within the first half dozen posts - the rest have been silly in-fighting which have had little or nothing to do with the original thread matter. It seems clear that Califiddler has nothing else to add, and as he hasn't posted anything after his first post, it is safe to assume that his questions have been answered satisfactorily. So...... would it be a good idea to move on now?

my main guitar for blues,r&b,etc is my 69 thinline tele through a pro jr...my hollow body strat is 2nd choice and my parker nightfly m is my third choice ....but the one guitar that could do it all if the other two died would be my thinline tele with harmonic design pickups....each to his own ..

Well, thanks to this thread, I was curious enough to try a Yamaha SA 2200 when I saw one today. I own 4 Teles and 3 Strats, and probably wouldn't have looked twice at a Yamaha anything if not for this erudite discussion. Once again, I find myself enlightened by the good ol' TDPRI. Oh, by the way, really nice guitar...really nice.
