DVD with great musicianship (NTC, but still worth it)!

Every now and then I find a CD that really grabs me. Something that I'll never get sick of.

Well yesterday, as a late B-day present to myself, I bought the companinon DVD to said CD.

"Alison Kraus & Union Station Live"

Holy cow! talk about great musicians. I knew from the cd that they were great, but it's something completely different to see them play that music with such ease.

I think the one that takes the cake is Jerry Douglas playing the Dobro fast as lightning!!

If you dig Alison Kraus, Newgrass, or if you just love great music (and musicians) you have to check out this DVD.

Just wanted to share, Have a great Labor Day.

I got a chance to see them...

... live last year at the Ocean City Music Pier, a small venue on the boardwalk. A friend called me and asked if I was interested in going just a couple of hours before show time. Needless to say it was fantastic, particularly with the addition of Jerry Douglas. Lots of top notch artists make the Music Pier one of their summer stops. This year I saw Dickey Betts and Great Southern. I saw Tuck and Patty there a few years ago. NTC but great stuff if that's what you're into.
