TDPRI giveaway prize (Bill Lawrence Tele L-200s)
Hi,
Thanks Bill for the generous donation to the TDPRI prize drawing. The pickups arrived yesterday (had to chase the mailman down to get them b/c he didn't bother to ring our doorbell on his "pre-holiday" delivery day). Anyway, they look very cool. I've only had single coil pickups so far ('52 RI, Nocasters, stock MIJ). These look like a stacked humbucker of sorts. From reading at Bill's site they are noiseless. Does anyone have any additional comments, experience with, or information about the L-200 Bill Lawrence tele pickups? I'm still trying to figure out which Tele to install them in. Actually, I'll probably end up starting a new project. Woo Hoo!!! Thanks again to Paul for maintaining this space on the web. I'm very grateful and humbled to have won such a cool prize. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. David

Congratulations to you holndav, for winning the Lawrence L-200 Tele set!
So far I haven't tried out these P/Us myself, although I've heard so many good things about them. Once they're installed, give us a report of your impressions, please. Happy Thanksgiving to you too! |
