Initially i have to admit that i didn't like the headstock,
but i got used to them, and the playability is just out of
this world.

As Roli said, you can't really dislike 'em, can ya!!

I like them very, very much! I tried an ASAT Classic Blues Boy once and I haven´t played a better guitar!

I like them very much, but not as recreations of Teles or Strats. To me they have their own sound and vibe. That and the paint jobs on every one I've seen are simply perfect.

Not really for me. So many of them look so tempting, but...

I finally broke down and bought one (a real fancy-pants thinline version) with flame maple, birdseye neck, twin humbuckers and a Bigsby. Gorgeous guitar! (It was basically a duplicate of the one that Guitar Player had given rave reviews some months earlier.) No, I wasn't expecting it to "sound like a tele" with the 'buckers, but regardless, I never could bond with that guitar for some reason. Sold it.

Played a few others, but I just don't care for them. (They look nice though!)

If by "like" you mean "Do you own a bunch of them, plus a couple of G&L basses?" then, yes, I guess I like 'em. CS

They're different than Fenders, but why not buy both? I really like the sound of the G&L Broadcaster. Who would have thought a maple bodied Tele would sound so good?

Absolutely

quality, playability and tone-IMHO. Got an ASAT Classic- tobacco burst, gun-oil tint neck, mint guard, (I've posted a pic or three here previously...) My ONLY detraction is the headstock, but as was mentioned in a previous post- you kinda get used to it.

i sure do. they're not telecasters, or stratocasters, or anything, regardless of how they might look, but they are great guitars in their own right. they've got their own sound, and i like it. a bit like a more "high fi" fender sound: more highs, more lows, more everything. i understand that many prefer the more "low fi" fender sound, and i do too, but, still, the g&ls have their place. skinny necks, though (i complain about that too much, don't i? oh well...)

Can't say there is anything about the G&L line that would make me want to buy one. I've tried a few, and they just don't do it for me.

ASAT Classic (Ash, Clear Orange, Maple)
Legacy (Alder, Sunburst, Rosewood)
S-500 (Alder, Sunburst, Rosewood)
25th Anniversary Limited Edition (Mahagony, Root Beer, Rosewood)

So, I'd say, ummmm, yes

I think the workmanship, finishes, parts, etc., is excellent. They look great....but...I just can't play them. The strings always feel stiff as hell...very uncomfortable bending strings....and I'm not particulalry nuts about the neck shape...feels very awkward to me.

No. Disappointing. Too much thin treble sound.

Can I vote both ways?

I love the build quality and playability, but I have a strong dislike for the MFD pickups.

I sure love mine. It's my "go to" electric. I find the workmanship, playability, and tone to be nicer than any of the Fenders that I own. JMHO

I don't care for them. How does Fuzzy say bught urglie? It's kind of sad how Leo was making copy guitars of his own classic guitars. I have played one and it was a nice guitar, but not anything to write home about. To me they'll always just be quality grade copies.

For those that remember, G&L to me is like "New Coke"!

(For those that don't,......it wasn't a compliment)

Huh? How do you copy something you were responsible for introducing to the world in the first place? Isn't it just a "revision"?
