I have been hanging around in the back for a while and I have finally decided to post. Does anyone listen to Amos Garret, he is a wicked tele player. He played on a great song " Midnight at the Oasis". I frequent a jam at Morgans Pub and he plays there once a month or so. He is amazing to watch so close up.

A warm welcome ...

... to the TDPRI, cowtwang! This is truly the place to hang out for any fan of the Telecaster. You'll like it here. Nice and friendly people who don't mind sharing their knowledge on all things Telecaster.
I remember the Amos Garret solo in "Midnight At the Oasis" very well. Some "monster" playing ..... Never seen him live - must be a real treat!

I always thought that was a very tasty solo he added to that song-really complimented the vocalist with it! Great to know he's out there gigging in small clubs too.

Welcome aboard.
Amos Garret is quite a player. Seen him a couple times. Not the friendliest person I ever met but as long as I can listen I don't have to talk to him.

Welcome indeed cowtwang, (love the name by the way )

I really liked the Amos Garret solo on "Midnight At The Oasis" - so lovely and slippy slidy ( an esoteric technical term ).

You will fit in real fine here.

Regards,

Derek.

Welcome, cowtwang!

Amos Garrett is a great player (and cool baritone singer). I have some of his CDs, but have never seen him live.

I've listened to him quite a bit in "the ol' days" - "Midnight..." is great, and so is "Oh, Papa" (Also with Maria Muldaur).

I envy you the opportunity to see him live !
