Bill Kirchen with Elvis Costello in SF 10/6

Oct 6, Bill will be playing with Elvis Costello at the
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco.
The band will be Elvis, Bill, Austin DeLone,
Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher with
guest appearances by Emmylou Harris and Gillian Welch.
The festival will be in its fifth year, a wonderful and free
weekend extravaganza of roots music. Elvis was so taken
with the title of Bill's upcoming Proper Records release
that he has, for this one show, named the band after it.
Soooo..... It's Friday, October 6th at 4 PM in
Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, Elvis Costello and
The Hammer Of The Honky-Tonk Gods! Be there.
Being square is not an option.

There's a chance that my job will have me on that side of the country around that time. So not only might I get to see the show, but I'll be on an expense account for food (beer....but don't tell anyone I said that).

Saw Bill 2 weeks ago solo. I love Elvis, but I'd see Bill with just about anybody.

Looks Like Bill & Louise are comming Hoem

Glad to be here in the DC area.

ROR Flash (wanted to not wait two weeks to get this out)

He clicked his ruby red high heeled cowboy boots together three times and said
There's no place like home
There's no place like home
There's no place like home
whooosh
He's BAAAACK
Bill Kirchen knows where the best place is to try to have too much fun which is the only one thing that he's never done
But he'll keep trying.
Right here back in the DC area.
Bill & Louise moved back to town and DC will once again be home base for the world traveling Hammer of the Honky Tonk Gods

and on that note:

On my computer, the only part of the thread title that is displayed on the main page is:

Where in the DC area can one hear Bill play live?

Bill Kirchen is a genius and you can see him all the time up close and personal, but if I could go to San Francisco just to see that show, I would.
