The '60s Classic Tele is definitely one of the best reissues that Fender makes. I changed my pickguard for a clean white one, though. The green "nitrate guards" was typical on the Custom Telecaster from '59 - '64, but wasn't very common on the standard Teles except for a short period of time around '63 -'64. (They were discontinued after 1964 due to being highly flammable). The all-white or the 3-ply white would be at least as period correct. |

Throw a Glendale bridge and compensated brass saddles on it and it would by my Tele's twin!
