Jimmy Page and a freaky tele

sorry if you've seen it before; it's new to me:

I guess you could say thats "the" tele... it was used on Led Zeppelin I, and the solo on Stairway To Heaven.

That is the best live performance I have ever seen from Jimmy Page. I love Zep but often the live stuff is sloppy.

Yeah it is good, although it doesn't sound quite right without the huge ammounts of reverb and delay on the album, they made it all seem a little less sparse, filled the space better I guess.

That´s real great show by Led Zeppelin. I talked about that show in my topic which was about Jimmy Page: http://www.tdpri.com/forum/telecaste...ou-prefer.html I think that Jimmy´s Tele-sound is absolutely great in that Danish Radio Show which can be seen totally in Led Zeppelin DVD.

Saw Zep only once - '69. Not sure if it was self indulgence or just the drugs and booze but based on boots and concert footage of later shows, they never seemed to be as good on stage as they were in the early days.

Early Led Zep is awesome. When Page is on he is great. Unfortunatly a few years after this Page somehow lost his ability to play as clean and without mistakes maybe it was the Heroin he was on whatever it was he was never as good as these early performances again.

I think the fact heavy drug use was going on, maybe was a factor.
