Will I be able to replace my locking tuners with originals?
I recently bought an American telecaster off ebay and it had
Did the person have to do any drilling when installing these tuners? Would I be able to install the originals (I plan on buying some) without any problems? I just wanted to check before I bought some. Thanks |

Maybe the seller has the originals?
You probably wont have to do anything to go back to stock but some people can mess up an anvil so you will have to wait and see. If you have a Tele or Strat handy with the original sized tuners you can try one of those for a tight fit before you buy a whole set.

They should fit. Most modern guitars use 3/8' holes (that's not a 100% in All cases mind you). Kluson tuners use smaller holes, as well as many vintage import guitars. I had to do ALOT of drilling, when I installed the screwless (American Standard) Fender/Schaller tuners, on a 1969 Teisco Del Ray ET-220. NOT FUN!! Good luck!! Steve

To switch back to vintage style tuners, you will most likely need these:
http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/T..._Bushings.html Modern tuners use a larger hole than the vintage style ones do. |
