Denny Diaz and teles
Denny of old Steely Dan fame (let's avoid a flamer here, people love or hate them, I know) used a tele alot.
Does anyone has photos/info? I think it was a custom or a deluxe.

He has a "part" in the movie Almost Famous
Check out the special edition DVD of "Almost Famous"
and play the "Bootleg" or "Untitled" disc- the one with the extra and extended scenes. There is a hotel room scene in the original release where the grou- excuse me- "Band Aids" decided to releive the main character of his virginity. In the "Untitled" version, this scene is extended in the beginning and they are watching a "Midnight Special" ep (I think) on television....It is on the TV where Denny is playing the Tele in question- tearing it up with his famous intro to "Reeling In the Years!" Rent it...better yet buy it....it's a GREAT film for anyone who loves any type of music... |

whoops again
and I knew that too....I mean to say "the" famous instead of "his" .....sorry.
When the Dan toured in '96, many writers panned their new version of Reelin' because it lacked Elliot Randall's licks from the original.. I forgot where I read that.. |
