re Bill Kirchen

Awesome, I wish he'd play around here sometime, but not too likely, enjoy the show and give us a report afterwards.

now that I've been up and had my coffee

timbo truman and mark norwine has been singing the praise of BK since forever...Now I know what he's buzzed over. BK played a million different notes/styles/licks whatever sounding like everybody AND himself.. with one fuuuuuuunky tele,a couple of pedals and a tube amp. Heck I bet he could even do a modeling amp some favors

his sound is awesome

I always enjoy seeing BK; he can play anything, and the teletone he gets, is fantastic.

He's getting around quite a bit this summer: http://billkirchen.com/CrosstownArts.../calendar.html

I'm going to go see Jeff Beck in LA on 9/28, and BK in Berkely on 9/29. Let me know if any of y'all will be there.

Yeah Bill is Great (& real nice guy), & so is Jeff Beck (different sort of experience)…but Bill gets over to UK a fair bit, so guess he could make it to Memphis? (re. Ringo).

Just caught up with this thread. Dang he's a monster. Saw him for free here 2 years ago doing solo. He was great then, but this is no comparison. A true monster Tele player. If you haven't seen him, go. Now!!
