Will it work? - Tele neck on Epi sg Special?

Well, I am sick of the junk neck that came on my SG, and i am making many mods to it, because it is very fun modding cheapos such as this one. If I am corect, the heel on the tele necks are 2 3/16, and i think i found that my neck is the same. I like the idea of the tele neck on it, would i be able to pull it off? I also was thinking of the danelectro dc neck. Please help if you can!
Thanks

If the distance from the nut to the 12th fret is the same as from the 12th fret to the bridge, it will work. A Fender neck and a Gibson/Epi neck have different scale lengths. The key is equal distance between nut and 12th fret and 12th fret and the bridge.

There is also the matter of neck thickness. If they are the same or very close, you might be able to pull it off. Measure first.

Some options

You may want to check Warmoth for their necks, they will have something to fit the bill, if intonnation is a problem with a standard neck.

It may work technically, but I can't see it working aesthetically!

What's the matter with the original neck anyway? Can it not be set up by a technician?

The neck is twisted and the frets suck, plus I want to mod it to make it very unique....
