Is this really work?

As I sit here "working" and browsing the forum, I notice there are 39 others just in the Tele Forum at the moment. Let's see...9:20 EST, we should all be at work. Nothing like being paid to surf Telecaster Info!

I don't think 'everyone' here is East Coast United States.

But you're right about me, fun to get paid to look at Teles.

Cheers,

Bob

Lately I only post from work. That explains why a lot of comments I make are chock-full of spelling or cryptic grammar. Usually I am doing 10 things at once and browsing the TDPRI. I have a great job but it's not intriguing. The TDPRI adds some spice to life while I'm here.

Who else is misappropriating company time?

I'll be the first to admit that I'm goofing off on the company's dollar. And I'll also be the first to say that I wish I had a more enthralling job for the summer. I'm temping for the summer in hopes of finding a full-time teaching gig for the fall, and I am bored out of my gourd. Surfing was fun for the first day after I realized I could get away with it, but since then it's only slightly better than staring at the walls. I quickly learned that when I ask for more work it just gets the girl that has to provide that work mad at me, which gets all the other girls mad at me, which makes for headaches with the supervisor.... seems better to just keep my head down and do whatever they ask with a smile.

before i retired in February, i cruised TDPRI several times a day at work -- they were resigned to people surfing -- but rarely replied cuz they were pi$$y about people getting into chat-room excursions and such. now i still cruise it several times a day, but can at least sound off when i got something to say!

Calling all workers of the World -- Two solutions:

1. When you scroll down to the very bottom of any page on the TDPRI you'll see a link to the "ARCHIVE". This is a non-graphical, WHITE background version of all the posts. You can't reply but you can read. Try it out. Save a book mark to http://www.tdpri.com/forum/archive/index.php/ and you can surf without a yellow page screaming at your boss and co-workers.

2. Have you checked out RSS version of the TDPRI?

Simply copy the RSS link at the bottom of each Thread Listing (forum view) into any RSS Agrigator Like Google's, or Yahoo's. And you'll see all the newest threads and posts in a less graphic format that may not attract so much attention at work. The RSS link on the bottom of each page will provide you with the RSS content of that forum only. You have to use an RSS reader or service to format the page. If you just click on the RSS link it will be gobbledgook.

Or if you want an easy way to impliment this for the main forum only, then simply subscribe from feedburner at: http://feeds.feedburner.com/TelecasterDiscussion

It might save you some hassle at work!

This thread was actually a sting operation - all TDPRI'rs that have admitted to being working Teleholics have had their email adress captured and a detailed report sent to their supervisor!

We have a guy who likes to read weird conspiracy theory web pages at work. Pages and Pages of single spaced text. He can read it all day long. You may never see him. He can just sit in his office reading and reading and reading like a crazy person. Some people have jokingly made a connection between him and I because I also tend to spend all day reading a certain yellow webpage full of text.

My boss isn't very bright and lets me get away with all kinds of nonsense. The advantages of being self employed.
