MIM truss rod question(s)
I was on the Fender site and was looking at a downloadable manual. In the "adjusting your truss rod" section, it said that they used two kinds of truss rods: the standard (or something like that) and the bi-something. The standard truss rod only takes the neck one direction; the bi-something can take it both directions (more convex/more concave). Does anyone know which one the Mexican Teles come with? Does it depend on the model? And... do all Teles today have the truss rod adjustment at the headstock - if so, when did it change? Thanks.

MIM Fenders ......... single action trussrod. Standards adjust at the headstock ............. Classic series adjust at the heel.

Thanks for the reply.
How often have folks here had to adjust the truss rod the "other" way - the way that the single-action truss rods don't go?
Do some of the American Telecasters have the same truss rod? What about Americans with the adjustment at the headstock (or is this just a MIM thing)? |
