MIJ Tele Info
I recently stumbled across a tele that I have some interest in. It is yellowish, white guard, maple neck. The serial # is on the headstock and is J004451. It also says "Made in Japan" under the "Telecaster" also on the headstock. I'm not sure, but I think the bridge is the standard 6 saddle type, but haven't laid eyes on it yet. Any info as to what exactly this is would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looks to me like an '89 to '90, but the model... not sure.
I bet with more info (pups, bridge type, etc.) somebody here might be able to help figure it out. http://www.fender.com/support/dating...ese_dating.php |

I agree on the date.......... not much more can be told from the infomation provided. I have an MIJ Strat from sometime in the '80s with the serial number and "Made in Japan" on the front of the headstock.
