My Tele does'nt exist?!

Hi there. I just joined here, and would like to say how pleased I am that this place exists. Anyways, I just thought I'd write a quick note to see if anyone has
seen one of these before. I've spent a lot of time working in the "vintage" market(no sarcasm intended there ) and have not come across this guitar colour/ combo before. It's a '68 tele in blonde with white binding. I have emailed some cats in the States and the general type of response is " no existo". Out here in the desert, we can understand the scepticism, but we also know that there was no dealer for Fender in Oz in the 60's...so, most of what we seem to have got was custom orders. Not custom shop, custom orders. It is definately genuine, years of background knowledge and experience tell me so, and my eminantly groovy mates in the trade here also. It even smells right. The reason I'm writing is because, Like I said, I havn't seen one before and neither has anyone I've spoken too, and am up in the air about what to do with it. So has anyone seen one before Let me know if you wanna, it's hard to put a value on this type of thing. Cheers all.

Collins had the binding added to his later on. It wasn't a bound model.
