Tele finishing

I am finishing a tele clone and have used Reranch burgundy mist metallic. I am thinking of going over that with a clear nitro with a deep purple or black dye in it. Has anyone used any of the dyes available, in a clear coat? And if so which products, and the results, if possible.

I have no experience with the dyes you're asking about, but the guys at Reranch are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. I'd email them with some questions.
