Did '72 Thinline RI's change bridge?

Because I have a MIM '72 Thinline and it looks nothing like the one on fenders website. For a start the bridges are different. Not the saddles. I know the saddles aren't stock but the bridge looks stock but is different than the one on the site. Secondly, it has two string trees. This could easily have been done by the previous owner.

It is a 1999 so it is the year they started making them I believe. Does anyone know if the bridge was different at first? I can't see a reason why Fender would change it if they did.

What are the specific differences in your bridge and the one pictured on the Fender product page?

The one in the fender page does not have a tray around it, and mine does. Mine is also smaller and a different shape. I doubt that there would be a bridge to fit this particular model exactly, but there is no signs of drilling.

My MIM '72 Thinline was manufactured in December. Single string tee. No tray around bridge plate. Appears just like the image on Fender's product page.

I realize this does not answer the original question. Just confirming the product page shows them as they are made these days.

By a tray, do you mean a lip reaching around three sides something like this one from StewMac?

That is the exact one! Saddles and everything. I suppose mine isn't original then. Thanks for clearing that up Yegbert!
