The Bible et al

Okay, so I've been hanging around here for some time now, tried to get things going with fun posts, tried to answer questions when I can.

I just gotta say I have learned so much from you all and bagged sooo much good advice. I have begun to seriously tinker and really tweak my guitars. Not just adding pups.

The Bible- I found a store in Scituate that has piles of NOS stuff. Pickups, guits, amps, BOOKS. He had 3 copies of the Bible so I bought one- 15 bucks. WOW!!!
Amazing book.

Now, I just found Dan Earlwine's (sp) book 'How to make your electric guitar play great' (sic).

Now there was alot of other to choose from, but because of you nice folks, I got this one and it rules, even came with cut out radius measurer thing dingies.

Recently, I bought an older tube amp, wanted to rehab it.
NEVER would have tried it before. Got some great advice in tele tech and amp central station, along with recommendations about Gerald Webers books/videos.
The thing RAWKS now.

Most recently, Brian Setzer's hot lick video, recommended by a TDP'er. Fantastic.

Larry Fontana's bridge is next...

Thanks Everyone!
Rich

I'll second Fontana's bridge.

They are what I've been waiting for. And they are so affordable, too! Well worth it. Doncha love this place? :D

Sharing

Before I found this site, ( about a 18 months ago ) I thought I knew a lot about teles...even though I was pretty much a strat man....having mdoified, built from scratch and re-built several "Real" teles and franken-teles. After lurking here for a few months, I soon realized how little I really knew about this wonderful guitar. I first found Fuzzy's site and linked over here from there. Wow! Everyone was so generous with their time and knowledge. And that continues to this day. Many of the wise old-timers no longer post, ( that saddens me ) but I tahnk them from the bottom of my heart for their graciousness and open sharing of knowledge. I really appreciate everyone who contibutes to this site. Thank you.
