56 Tele and deluxe
Looks like a no issues guitar, unlike the earlier Blackguard era beauties, the lacquer on the '56 onward necks is and stays quite "white", shows the maple colour as it actually is...The neckshapes are really cool, not too small not too big, someone is going to get a nice little combo here...Still more bidding to come yet though. I would love to be able to afford to add this one to the family!

One thing I'm not clear on. The seller implies that he got the appraisal from the Antiques Roadshow, but the guitar and amp are shown in front of a huge stack of vintage Fender amps.
So is the seller a dealer and the photo was taken in his store, in which case he should already know the value of his Fenders? Or was this picture taken in his house, and somehow he's remained blissfully unaware of the true value of these amps for the past half century? Either way, I wish I'd had his address the week before he went on Antiques Roadshow. |

Correct me if I'm wrong.. wouldn't a 56 have a round string tree instead of those wings?
Regardless.. she's gorgeous...

Clarence White's was a 56 as well...with soft V neck profile...truly a cool guitar. |

This One is Spot On
I agree, this one is the real thing. Look at the placement of the decal between the butterfly and nut, the single line Klusons, bridge, white blonde color. Not one thing looks out of kilter.
Not nuts about any auction where you have to wire the cash - but it is a nice guitar and amp.
