Yay - It's Finished!!

Here's just enought to tease ya...

Let's recap. I traded my MIA Nashville B-Bender Tele for a 50's Tele in white blonde. I bought a bunch of replacement parts as well. I won't go into much detail though; I'll save that for the Tele Modders website. But, here's a decent pic to see what y'all think. I'll post, when I can, a full pictorial and editorial of the work done on the Tele Modders site.

Here it is...

Remember, she's a white blonde, almost Mary Kay finish and the pic doesn't really show that. Please click on the pic and you'll get a much larger image.

Cheers,

Looks good, but how about a better picture so we can all see that grain through the finish? How do you like that mini-humbucker up by the neck? I was thinking about one of those myself.....

Hey!

Is that my Texas Special in the middle? Just kidding! It looks great Butch. I will check the modders site for the details. Are you more comfortable with the neck yet? I love the big FAT ones (guitar necks only :D ) Good luck with it. Let me know if you post more Sound files, I would love to hear the guitar. Larry Fontana

Yes, I'll get some really good pics to put on the Tele Modders site when I can. The mini-humbucker is fantastic!! It's so sweet in the neck. I don't do the SRV/Johnny Winter screaming neck pickup thing. I like it warm, yet bright and smooth and that's what I got.

Yep, that's it...Sorry Larry, I knew I shouldn't sell it. As far as comfort, I dug in and got used to it really quick. Right off the bat I could feel chording was easier. Now, believe it or not, I have trouble with the Les Pauls and such. :?

I used a new Gibson mini-humbucker. The reason I stressed "new" is because I know some guys have done this mod and have been fortunate enough to, either be able to get, or already have a 1969-70's era mini-humbucker. I went to my Gibson dealer and ordered a new one. You don't have to have an origional 60's/70's mini-humbucker. Mine's brand new and sounds great. IMHO, Gibson's current production mini-humbucker is the best pickup they're making.
