Nashville pickers WOW!

I've been spending the week in Nashville and cannot believe how good all the players are around here. I guess if you live around this area you're probably used to this but it's amazing to me.

So far some of the players I've seen that I got names of were Victor Ruiz of The Tequillas. Danny Torrell and his band at Jonathans. Frank something of Jypsi. Great picker with Jim Hampton in Roberts. Some monster country/rocker in Tootsies (very beautiful girl singing all the songs) Wed. 5/31 about 5:00. Also a guy name Jimmy Blake I think that was playing with the Hillbilly Allstars at the Station Inn. Don't worry I'm going to catch Guthrie Trap at Roberts. Seems like no matter where you go the players are great. I guess the talent scale goes up here and players I think are good prob. stink to some people around here. Anyhow...I'm enjoying the music here.

similar to LA scene

When I was hanging out at the hard rock/heavy metal clubs a few years back I was always amazed at how many great players I saw. My comment then: "So many great players so few great songs".

I always figured the song "Nashville Cats" was pretty much on the money about the talent there.

I've never been there because I wasn't sure if they'd check my guitar playing before letting me past the city limits.
