Proposal

I'd like to propose some kind of memorial here at tdpri for spanky. He deserves no less for his exemplary contribution to this forum.
He was an inspiration to us all and should be recognised as such.

Just my 2 'cents' worth

Yes!

That is a wonderful Idea! As I'm typing, I just thought about this, hopefully Paul will like it too! One of the Rev's favorite forums was The Sunday Morning SuperStars. How about re-naming it "Rev. Spanky's Sunday Morning Players". just a thought

I'm glad you guys approve. Although I never met spanky due to a large ocean between our 2 continents, he always inspired me to pick up my Telecaster. I just wish I'd had a chance to thank him for the inspiration the he gave to me and so many others.

My own father turned 53 yesterday, it makes you realise how precious life is, I'm glad that I called him and told him how much I love him. He's a Tele player too, I think Spanky would have liked him.

Our Webmaster

I believe has done a great thing posting it as he did.

The Passing of a Telecaster elite (SAD NEWS PLEASE READ)

Changing that to read instead of "a Telecaster elite" to "one of our members" and leaving it there as he has will sufice IMHO.

The 100 posts and 1000 views in one day is indicative of our sentiments and his acknowlegement of this tragic time here and will IMHO, sufice as a memorial and as a tribute for a time.

Long term tribute would and should be up to Paul and not us.
I remain your sorrowful and sad friend because of this loss;

I didn't know the title had been changed, there's 5-6 hour time difference between the US and UK so it was probably done while I was asleep.

I know it's up to Paul, but I just thought it would be a nice idea.

I think it's a great idea. It's up to Paul, though.

I agree.

It is totally Paul's call. And as always, I always respect his decision.

A thought...

If the proposed TDPRI CD becomes a reality it would be a nice gesture to "dedicate" it to Rev. Spanky.
