51 nocasterNOS vs AV52RI?

I have a 52RI bought new recently love it. How much better are the nocaster NOS guitars (the unaged ones). They are double the price of a 52RI - would love some feedback - or pointers to the thread that covers this (I've searched and searched). I'd love to try one of those NOS nocasters.

If money is no concern, you might prefer the Nocaster. Otherwise, no way! The '52 Reissue is every bit as fine a guitar with a great setup, pickups, and sound. The Nocaster is also mighty fine, with a BIG neck etc.

Each is an excellent guitar, but the '52 Reissue is clearly the bargain.

I've been there. I bought a 52 and kept it over a weekend and just couldn't bond with it, so I returned it. My main guitar is a 58 reissue Les Paul so I prefer big necks. I found a used NOS Nocaster for under $1700 and have been playing it ever since. I love it. So, maybe try to find a used Nocaster. :D

A little bit nicer.

The Nocaster is a little bit nicer, but not worth twice as much. Part of the allure of the nocaster is it's made to be more authentic to the original tele's. IThe neck on the nocaster is nice and beefy, but that may not suit you. Soundwise I think they are pretty close.
I've had the 52Ri since the mid 80's and it's been about the best guitar purchase I've ever made.
