Can I blame Nacho?

At first, I ordered his book, then I bought a 51 Nocaster, and then came the realization that I don’t even play the guitar! …It was not so long ago (about 3 weeks) when I got this notion that I wanted to learn and play the guitar, and as always, the Internet is a very useful tool. It so happened that there’s this website where seemingly adults of mature dispositions go juvenile over this simplest of implements. So it didn’t take long that I have to acquire one, and I brought home a 3burst AmSeries Tele. Nice…observed my son who’s more experienced on these things. Naturally, he tried, and he played, and he approved. But it’s too modern for my taste (if you could call a Tele that), and what about all these wonderful prose I read about “old” Teles? And so enter Nacho’s book, and what a book it is!…and to cut a long story short, the “new” Tele was replaced with the “old” and for what its worth here is my un-experienced take on the 51 Nocaster Closet Classic compared to the AmSeries. Look more Spartan, not a bad thing. Rang more freely unplugged. Lighter in weight. Neck felt more full and comfortable, whatever that means. Action is higher but seems softer which don’t make sense. Can cry and wail with the best when plugged, my son’s words. Looks cool , again my son’s. A keeper, I say….So, can I blame Nacho?
