Blackguard 1852 parted out.

Cryin' shame.

The horror....the horror.

In describing the body that's for sale, he says, "She weighs 6 pounds 1 ounce." If that's the weight of the body alone as the ad implies, whoever gets that is going to end up with a boat anchor. Figure a Tele that weighs over 9 pounds.

I've sent the seller a question about this.

Yes but I'd hate to sleep in the bed that one was found under.

The seller wrote back quickly with a very polite response. Yes, the body alone weighs 6 pounds, 1 ounce.

You guys all realize that it is serial number 1852... not a typo?

Right? Look at the auction photos.

huh?

How can anybody be sure of that item? It really seems odd to list so much and show so little of the other hardware. It would really help with the authenticity

That's not uncommon for Broadcasters. The ones I've held have been heavy. The Blackguard book has them ranging from 6.2 to 9.5 pounds (for the full guitar). My guess is that a 6-lb. body would make the whole guitar over 9 pretty easily.

Where are the guitar police when you need them? I looked at the seller's other items... Looks like a super chop shop to me. Grrrrrrrr

A refin body?? He will probably get more $$ as parts than a whole guitar since its a refin.

Mark, you are spot on with your comment. He chops up everything.. you should see what he has for sale.

Maybe he should just get a gun, like the other folks in his line of work. Really makes me see red...

Absolute robbery- now that's obscene.

This guy has lost it

He has lost his ever lovin mind! Even if it was a refin why part the darn thing out. It makes no sense to me why someone does this. Now all the original parts that should stay together as a whole will go in 20 different directions. Such a shame people care more about a dollar bill than a piece of history as this tele obviously is.
I'm with you Rich, it makes me down right mad

How can one really be sure a refin like that is authentic? Is it me or is anyone else a skeptic?
